Guided therapeutics laboratory is dedicated space and equipment for development, testing, and preclinical evaluation of novel IG technologies (computing,robotics, imaging, contrast agents, molecular labels). It will integrate the UHN STTARR facility’s preclinical suites with a large-animal operating room equipped with a 1.5T MR, volumetric x-ray CT, and navigation systems. It will be a development space for robotics and integration of imaging/intervention technologies equipped with electronics, calibration systems, and computing facilities. The GTx laboratory is slated to begin construction in 2012.
