The Council of Academic Hospitals of Ontario (CAHO) has been appointed as an Innovation Broker for the Province of Ontario by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.

Innovation Brokers are an initiative of the Office of the Chief Health Innovation Strategist (OCHIS) within the Ministry to help foster a culture of innovation across the province. Innovation Brokers will help link technology companies with opportunities, test sites, and supports, removing barriers so that new technologies can get into the health care system and benefit patients sooner.

CAHO represents Ontario’s 23 research hospitals, including UHN, and will broker connections between innovators and these research hospitals to help enable real-life validation tests.

Visit CAHO’s Innovation Broker page to learn more about CAHO’s role and to submit ideas and requests.
