Techna is excited to welcome Dr. Melanie Traughber as our next speaker for Techna Rounds. Dr. Melanie Traughber manages the Clinical Science and Applications groups for MR Therapy at Philips Healthcare. Dr. Traughber received her D.Sc. from Washington University in St. Louis from the department of Biomedical Engineering, and continued her focus on MR physics as a Research Fellow at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. Since joining Philips in 2007, Dr. Traughber has focused on the use and adoption of MR in Radiation Oncology and is currently responsible for all research collaborations using Philips MR equipment for RTP. In addition, she has a key role in the R&D process for current and future MR products in Radiation Oncology. Dr. Traughber’s research focuses on building a complete MR Simulator, including MR acquisition methods for dose calculation and DRR generation from MR images.
