Shyh-Dar Li, Ph.D.

Dr. Li obtained his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and finished his postdoctoral training at the Moores Cancer Center, University of California, San Diego. He is a Principal Investigator at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research focusing on drug delivery and nanomedicine research with a goal to improve cancer chemotherapy. He and his team has developed a wide range of drug delivery technologies that have been licensed to industry or are being translated commercially and clinically, including a brain delivery technology, a tumor-targeted delivery technology for siRNA, a heat-triggered lipid nanoparticle technology, and a polymeric conjugate platform for delivering water insoluble compounds. His work has been published in scholarly journals, and his lab has been supported by major funding agencies in Canada and the U.S.
