Jinzi Zheng, Ph.D
Dr. Jinzi Zheng is a Scientist at the Techna Institute and an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Toronto. She received her bachelor’s degree in Applied Science and Engineering (Engineering Science, Biomedical Engineering Option) and her PhD in Medical Biophysics from the University of Toronto. She completed her post-doctoral training at the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) and the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM).
Jinzi’s research is focused on the development of agents and tools that can improve the performance of imaging in cancer therapy guidance. Her research group is active in the areas of image-guided surgery, personalized nanomedicine delivery, tracking of cell therapies and image-guided high-precision radiotherapy. Jinzi’s research contributions have been recognized by over 20 national and international awards. As a Techna Scientist, she is highly committed to advancing effective research innovations to commercialization and clinical translation.
