Sharon Narine, BHSc (Hons), CHIM

Sharon Narine completed her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences at the Ontario Tech University in 2013 and later completed her certification to become a Canadian Health Information Management (CHIM) professional. Sharon is a Business Application Analyst at TECHNA Institute involved in the successful design and deployment of the Surgical Wait Information Management System (SWIMS) a web-based system that proactively tracks surgical wait times and backlogs across UHN’s Sprott Department of Surgery, enabling bed planning and post-surgical resource allocation to support surgical smoothing, a concept used to manage variability of upcoming surgical cases. Currently, Sharon is working on projects managed under the Princess Margaret Data Science (PMDS) Program, collaborating with mutli-disciplinary teams and engaging the Princess Margaret research community to develop and promote innovative data science methods.
