Tina Shek, BASc MHSc
Tina joined TECHNA in 2013 to help analyze the medical images amassed by QiPCM from various relevant clinical trials nationwide. Evolving with each trial, she is involved in the development, implementation, or testing of analytic software with the goal of identifying treatment-planning or drug efficacy, or improving pharmacokinetic modeling accuracy.
Tina graduated with a B.A.Sc in Chemical Engineering from University of Waterloo, and an M.H.Sc in Clinical Engineering from University of Toronto’s Institute of Biomaterials & Biomedical Engineering. Her thesis was focused on the application of computational fluid dynamics to improve endovascular aneurysm repair outcomes. During that time, she also completed internships developing various software applications at University Health Network’s Radiation Medicine Program and Medical Engineering departments: for the purposes of perfusion and kinetic analysis of dynamic contrast-enhanced CT and MRI images, and capital funding priority listing, respectively
