Techna Institute and JLabs are proud to present Professor Elicia Maine who will offer commercialization strategies for scientist-entrepreneurs. In particular she will focus on the use of strategic timing to give biomedical ventures better changes for success.
BIOGRAPHY

Elicia Elicia Maine is a Professor at SFU’s Beedie School of Business and is the Academic Director of an innovative graduate certificate program “Invention to Innovation”. Specializing in technological innovation and entrepreneurship. Dr. Maine has used her expertise at home and abroad to guide innovation policy and strategy and to mentor emerging talent. She disseminates her innovation management research across management and science domains, publishing in Research Policy, R&D Management, Nature Nanotechnology and Nature Materials. A truly interdisciplinary scholar, Dr. Maine holds a PhD in Technology Management from Cambridge University, Master’s degrees in Technology & Policy and Materials Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and undergraduate degrees in Materials Engineering and English from Queen’s University.
